Costanza Gastaldi is an Italian artist-photographer. She lives and works between Turin and Paris.
She studied photography in Paris, first at the Sèvres studio, where she was followed by contemporary photographer Mathieu Pernot, then at École des Gobelins; She is also a graduate in Arts Sciences at the Sorbonne University.
In 2015, Costanza Gastaldi is the winner of the BHV-Marais Prize for Food Photography, in collaboration with Ferrandi. The same year, her photographs are exhibited on the sidelines of the Venice Biennale on the island of San Servolo as part of a project on autism commissioned by the Pasteur Institute.
On several occasions, she is the assistant of renowned photographers, such as Grégoire Alexandre or Laziz Hamani, and collaborates with Studio Astre. During this period, her work is regularly published in journals such as Prussian Blue and Fisheye.
Costanza Gastaldi is the author of an artist's book entitled The Wandering Memories (Fagnola).
In 2018, she joined the Novalis Contemporary Art Gallery (Hong Kong) with which she took part in the Shanghai Photofairs in September and, in November, in the Hanhemülhe collective exhibition organized for the Salon de la Photographie in Paris.
Costanza Gastaldi will be present in October 2019 at Hong Kong Fine Art Asia with the Loto Nero series and, during this period, at InkAsia.
Two personal exhibitions will follow, one in Hong Kong in October 2019 (Novalis
Contemporary Art Gallery), the other in November 2019 in Paris (Galerie Catherine and André Hug) as part of the PhotoSaintGermain.
A collaboration with the Mayor of Paris (5th ardt.) Is already scheduled in April 2020.
