In+consolable, a console with mirror, surprises with its ability to render human complexity three-dimensional. The object is strong, it can repel and attract, it arouses our attention and leads us to focus on the theme of tears, but at the same time lets us free to imagine joy or sorrow behind them.
And should the observer interpret the tear as a sign of sorrow, then the object will reveal another aspect: its strength. It is the single plexiglass tear that sustains the whole structure, thus turning from “inconsolable” to “consolable”: the “+” represents the strength of will and the desire to look inside oneself and overcome obstacles. A mirror and plexiglass to narrate and sustain the metal shelf, the functional element of the object.
